CPR & First Aid Training: A Free Community Event

Santiam Teen Center is hosting a free Basic CPR & First Aid Training for teens, families, and community members.

This training is funded through a generous grant from Salem Health and taught by Silverton First Aid & CPR.

Event Details
Date: June 24
Training Time: 1:00–5:00 PM
Location: Foothills Church, 975 Fern Ridge Rd SE, Stayton, OR 97383
Cost: Free — all materials and food provided
Capacity: Approximately 30 spots (first come, first served)

SCHEDULE

  • 12:00 PM — Doors open, check‑in begins, sliders available
  • 12:50 PM — Latest recommended arrival time to ensure check‑in
  • 1:00–5:00 PM — CPR & First Aid Training (4‑hour class)
  • After 5:00 PM — Pizza served
  • 6:00 PM — Doors close

  • Basic CPR & First Aid certification
  • All training materials
  • Sliders and pizza
  • A supportive, community‑centered learning environment

Food Allergies & Dietary Restrictions

The registration form includes a question about food allergies and dietary restrictions.

Anyone who selects this option and plans to eat the provided food will be contacted directly to confirm safe meal options

CRP AID SIGN

Who Can Attend & Participation Requirements

Participants must:

  • Be at least 12 years old
  • Be able to sit through the full 4‑hour class
  • Follow all instructions from staff and instructors

Because this is a certified training, full participation is required to receive credit.

Behavior Expectations

To maintain a safe, respectful, and focused learning environment:

  • Disruptive, unsafe, or disrespectful behavior will not be tolerated
  • Anyone who cannot follow instructions or is disruptive to the class will be asked to leave
  • If a minor is asked to leave, their guardian will be contacted immediately

These expectations ensure that all participants can learn effectively and that the instructor can deliver the training without interruption. 

Minors & Parents/Guardians

  • Participants ages 12–17 must have a parent, guardian, or responsible adult (18+) present at check‑in
  • Guardians do not need to stay for the full training unless they choose to
